There are two ways to get noknok, the first one is downloading either a mobile application or a PC application.
To download noknok onto your cellphone, dial *123*14#. If there is a mobile application available for your handset, you will receive a URL with a link to the appropriate application and if not, you will receive a URL for the service that you can access via WAP. Please ensure that you use the correct WAP settings by dialing *123*13# and installing these settings as default. Choose , the MTN-WAP settings, if prompted by your phone. We will then notify you when we have an application available for your handset.
Get noknok on you PC, run through this checklist to see if your PC can handle the noknok PC software -
Does your PC have:
- An active internet connection?
- Windows XP?
- At least 100MB of fee disk space?
- At least 256MB RAM?
- The latest version of .NET Framework? (Note: If you have Windows Updates turned on, chances are that your PC already supports the latest version of .NET Framework. Else, get it here!)
If you answered YES all the way, you can go ahead and get noknok PC edition from this link: NokNok PC application (File size approx 3.4MB)
To install:
- After the download has completed you may browse to the download folder
- Double click on the installation package to start the installation process - An "Open Executable File?" warning box may appear. If you select OK the installation will start. If you select "Cancel" the installation process will abort with no files transferred to your computer
- The noknok setup screen will appear. Select INSTALL to continue or "Cancel" to abort.
- Once installed, simply open the noknok application; enter your MTN cellphone number and password to get chatting! -
